Job Description:
The College of Art, Sciences, Information Technology & Communication at the University of Kalba invites qualified and enthusiastic candidates to apply for a Physics and Math lecturer position. The commencement date of this position is August 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Physics and Math courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons, tailored to students' needs, interests, and existing knowledge.
- Contribute to curricular design, syllabi development, resources creation, marking policies, and teaching strategies within the department.
- Undertake formative and summative assessments, implementing interventions as necessary to ensure student progress.
- Mentor and advise students at all levels.
- Utilize digital technologies to create an interactive learning environment.
- Apply effective learning practices and participate in departmental self-review and improvement activities.
- Perform assigned administrative tasks for the program, department, college, and university.
- Engage in professional activities and community service.
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices.
- Solid background in educational technology and teaching platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of setting priorities to meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Physics specialization from an internationally recognized university accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education.
- Minimum 5 years of experience teaching Physics and Math courses in a similar academic environment.
- Experience teaching or training non-native English speakers is desirable.
- Experience with learning management systems, including Blackboard, is preferred.
