Position Summary:
As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the university’s IT infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new equipment, and ensuring that all IT systems are functioning efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing Technical Support: Assisting end-users with Laptops, desktop, UPS, printers, network cabling, CCTV setup, Label printers, AV and Network access points.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnosing Problems: Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise
- Deploying the appropriate IT solutions to solve problems
- Installing and Configuring Hardware and Software: Setting up new computer systems, installing software, and configuring networks.
- Facilitating the end user in troubleshooting IT hardware and software issues.
- Capable of installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and computers in the assets inventory.
- Identifying user needs with technology, Installment & Configuration knowledge of Network devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of networking equipment such as routers, switches, and Cabling.
Skills:
- Should have good knowledge in Assembling / Disassembling / repair of Hardware.
- Working technical knowledge of operating systems, IP addressing, and user standards.
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals & procedural documentation.
- Arabic Speaker is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- At least, 5 Years’ Experience in Related Field
- Proven experience as a support technician or in a similar role.
- Field Related certifications is a plus.
