Job Summary: As a dynamic and forward-thinking institution committed to lifelong learning and professional development, University of Kalba seeks an experienced and visionary Director to lead its Continuing Education and Vocational Development Center. The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the university's strategic direction in continuing education and vocational training, catering to the diverse needs of learners in the UAE and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the Continuing Education and Vocational Development Center, aligned with the university's mission and goals.
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities in continuing education and vocational training, both locally and globally, to ensure the center remains at the forefront of innovation.
Program Development and Management:
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of high-quality continuing education programs and vocational training courses that address the needs of adult learners, professionals, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, industry leaders, and government agencies to tailor programs to meet industry demands and workforce development priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements for continuing education programs.
Resource Management:
  • Manage the budget and financial resources of the center effectively, optimizing revenue generation while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of instructors, administrators, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Marketing and Outreach:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the center's programs and services, targeting diverse audiences through various channels, including digital media, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, government agencies, professional associations, and community organizations to enhance the center's visibility and impact.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
  • Implement mechanisms for ongoing assessment and evaluation of program effectiveness, student satisfaction, and learning outcomes, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of best practices, trends, and innovations in continuing education and vocational training, incorporating feedback and recommendations to enhance program quality and relevance.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in leadership roles within higher education, continuing education, or workforce development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
  • Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in the UAE, or the Gulf region is advantageous.
