Program Overview
The Bachelor of Science in E-Sport and Interactive Technology is an innovative undergraduate program designed to prepare students for the rapidly growing digital entertainment, competitive gaming, and interactive technology industries. The program combines foundations in computing, game development, digital media, interactive technologies, esports management, and emerging immersive technologies to equip graduates with both technical and creative skills required by the future digital economy. Hosted by the College of Computing and Intelligent Systems (CCIS) and developed in collaboration with the College of Sport Science (CSS), the program reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the global esports industry by integrating technological innovation with sports and entertainment management perspectives. To provide specialized career pathways, students will choose one of two concentrations during the final stage of study: Game Design or Digital Media. Through applied learning, industry projects, and practical experiences, the program prepares graduates for careers in game development, esports organizations, digital content production, interactive media, and emerging technology industries.
Entry Requirements
General Requirements
Applicants seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science in E-Sport and Interactive Technology must satisfy the University's general admission requirements, including:
- Completion of a recognized secondary school certificate or its equivalent with a minimum overall average of 70%.
- Applicants must not have been dismissed from another institution for academic or disciplinary reasons.
- Applicants must be medically, physically, and mentally fit to pursue university studies.
- Submission of the online admission application, all required supporting documents, and payment of the non-refundable application fee of AED 250 before the published deadline.
- Students will only be permitted to register for courses after completing all admission requirements and submitting the required documentation.
- Applicants admitted conditionally must satisfy all conditions within the specified period to maintain their enrollment.
In addition, applicants from the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum must achieve the following Mathematics requirement:
- Elite & Advanced Track: Minimum 70% in Mathematics.
- General Track and Other Curricula: Minimum 80% in Mathematics.
Applicants who do not meet the required Mathematics grade may be required to complete the designated preparatory Mathematics course during their first semester.
English Requirements
As this program is delivered in English, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency by meeting one of the following requirements:
- Minimum 90% in the Grade 12 English subject; or
- IELTS Academic 5.0 or higher; or
- TOEFL ITP 500 or higher.
Applicants who do not satisfy the English language requirement may be granted conditional admission and will be required to successfully complete the University's Remedial English course during their first semester.

- Design and develop interactive digital experiences, including gaming applications, virtual environments, user-centered interfaces, and immersive technologies that enhance player engagement and user experience.
- Develop technical skills in game development and emerging technologies, including programming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, interactive systems, and digital media technologies used in modern esports environments.
- Manage esport, tournaments, and digital entertainment operations by applying leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills required in professional competitive gaming environments.
- Apply ethical, legal, and professional standards related to esports governance, responsible technology use, cybersecurity, digital rights management, and fair competition practices within the gaming industry.
- Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams while strengthening communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills necessary for professional success in technology-driven and competitive esports settings.
- Conduct applied research and solve real-world technical challenges related to gaming systems, player performance optimization, interactive technologies, and digital entertainment innovation.
