The University of Kalba Ramadan Race commenced with outstanding participation, drawing more than 500 competitors from across the United Arab Emirates, including over 100 female participants. The event unfolded in a vibrant atmosphere characterized by community engagement and sporting excellence during the holy month of Ramadan.
This initiative reflects the University’s steadfast commitment to fostering a culture of physical activity and well-being, and to promoting sport as an integral component of a healthy, balanced, and sustainable lifestyle within the community.
The event featured three race distances: 1 km, 3 km, and 5 km, attracting participants from various age groups including children, women, and youth. This wide engagement reflects the strong community interest and enthusiastic response to the initiative.
The organizing committee allocated prizes totaling AED 50,000, distributed across the different race categories. This initiative highlights the vibrancy of both the University and the city, reflecting their dynamic and active spirit during Ramadan.
