Job Description:
The University of Kalba is seeking to appoint a researcher in sport science. The successful candidate will be under the Research Center and will be working closely with the College of Sport Science. The applicant should hold a PhD degree in sport science or equivalent from a recognized university accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education. The applicant should have academic/research experience of six years (minimum).
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and abilities:
- Lead and conduct research in collaboration with the College of Sport Science.
- Publish in international, peer reviewed journals in collaboration with the College of Sport Science.
- Identify opportunities for research grants within UAE and outside the country.
- Apply for external research grants in collaboration with the College of Sport Science.
- Mentor and advice research assistants of the College of Sport Science.
- Facilitate research projects of the students of the College of Sport Science.
- Liaise with industry stakeholders and conduct research with them.
- Perform all assigned duties by the Research Center and the College of Sport Science.
- Engage in professional activities and community service related to the Research Center and the College of Sport Science.
Minimum Qualifications:
Research profile:
- A minimum of five (5) publications in Scopus Q1 journal in the last 5 years.
- A minimum of five (5) publications in Scopus Q1 journal as the first author.
- A Scopus h-index above 15.
