Job Description:
The University of Kalba is seeking to appoint a faculty member for teaching Math in the College of Arts, Sciences, Information Technology, and Communications / Computer Science Program. The ideal candidate should have a strong record of research in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, demonstrated through publications in high-impact journals. The successful applicant will actively contribute to the growth and development of the college, engaging in teaching, research, curriculum innovation, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver Math courses (Calculus I, Calculus II, Math for Business…etc), schemes of work, and individual lessons, appropriate to the needs, interests, and existing knowledge of students.
- Preferable Science Background in Physics and Chemistry.
- Contribute to curricular design and assist in the development of syllabi, resources, schemes of work, marking policies, and teaching strategies in the department.
- Undertake formative and summative assessments to ensure progress and implement interventions where required.
- Mentor and advise students at all levels.
- Use digital technologies to ensure an interactive learning environment.
- Apply learning practices effectively.
- Contribute to the department process of self-review, evaluation, and improvement planning activities.
- Perform all assigned administrative tasks by the program/department, college and university.
- Engage in professional activities and community service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master’s or Ph.D degree in Math specialization from an internationally recognized university.
- A one year of experience in teaching Math courses with preference to science background in Physics and Chemistry.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English language.
