Job Description:

The University of Kalba is seeking to appoint a faculty member for teaching Tour Guiding in the College of Arts, Sciences, Information Technology, and Communications / History and Islamic Civilization Program.
The ideal candidate should have a strong record of research in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, demonstrated through publications in high-impact journals. The successful applicant will actively contribute to the growth and development of the college, engaging in teaching, research, curriculum innovation, and community outreach.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD in Tour Guiding from a reputable university.
  • A strong publication record, with the capability to contribute to high-reputable academic publications.
  • Participation in relevant regional and international conferences.
  • Keen on participating in joint scientific research with colleagues or in research groups inside and outside the university.
  • Sustain active participation in relevant professional organizations.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons, appropriate to the needs, interests, and existing knowledge of students.
  • Contribute to curricular design and assist in the development of syllabi, resources, schemes of work, marking policies, and teaching strategies in the department.
  • Undertake formative and summative assessments to ensure progress and implement interventions where required.
  • Mentor and advise students at all levels.
  • Use digital technologies to ensure an interactive learning environment.
  • Apply learning practices effectively.
  • Engage in professional activities and community service.
  • A minimum of one year of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor.
