Position Title: Assistant Professor in Civil Procedural Law

Job Description:

The College of Law at the University of Kalba is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Civil Procedural Law, who possesses strong academic qualifications and research expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching in Civil Procedural Law at the undergraduate level, contribute actively to curriculum development, conduct, and publish scholarly research, supervise student research projects, and engage in academic and community service activities in line with the vision and mission of the College and the University.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver courses in Civil Procedural Law at undergraduate Level .
  • Employing innovative and effective teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enhancements within the department.
  • Publishing research in respected academic journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Maintain active involvement in professional organizations related to law.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students pursuing careers in law.
  • Contribute to departmental and university service through committee participation, academic advising, and other activities.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and other ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and engage in community outreach.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in the relevant field.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Hold a Ph.D. degree in Civil Procedural Law
  • Demonstrate expertise and a strong research track record, evidenced by publications in reputable academic journals.
  • Possess experience in teaching Civil Procedural Law
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines for course preparation, grading, and administrative tasks.
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages is required. The short-listed candidate will be interviewed.
