Dr. Syed Ziaur Rahman has over 20 years of experience in Computer Science and Information Technology. He holds a Ph.D., MTech, and BTech in Computer Science and Systems Engineering. His early career in industry included roles at SIEMENS and Infosys as a software engineer, where he worked on real-time solutions and served as a consultant for ERP systems. Since 2005, Dr. Syed has been involved in academia and has earned recognition for excellence in teaching, research, leadership, and staff development. He previously served as Head of Scientific Research at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences and as Head of the Faculty of Information Technology at Majan University College, affiliated with the University of Bedfordshire, UK in the Sultanate of Oman. Currently, he leads the Computer Science program of the College of Arts, Science, IT and Communication at the University of Kalba in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Syed is also a Certified External Reviewer for accreditation bodies worldwide and has received training in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). He is a certified External Reviewer for Institutional and Program Accreditation with the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the National Board of Accreditation in India. He has held positions as Congress Chair and member of various International Scientific Committees for global conferences and serves on the Editorial Board of two international journals. His research interests include Computer Science, Blended Learning, the Internationalization of Higher Education, and IPR.
